Destiny 2’s latest update, Renegades, has drawn in a large crowd of players, likely due to its Star Wars-inspired elements – you can even wield a weapon similar to a lightsaber! Unfortunately, some things aren’t running smoothly. Many players are reporting trouble finishing the “Welcome to the frontier” mission, but the developers are aware of the issues and have offered some helpful advice.
How to finish Welcome to the frontier in Destiny 2
Following the release of Renegades, players began reporting a bug in the “Welcome to the Frontier” mission where enemies would stop appearing. Bungie developers quickly noticed this issue and posted information about it on the official Destiny 2 channel of their Discord server.
We’re aware of a problem in the “Welcome to the Frontier” mission where the Piker Gang sometimes doesn’t appear as expected. As we work on a permanent solution, we suggest waiting for the objective to change to “Defeat Piker Crew” before you start fighting enemies or crawl through the tunnel. This should allow you to continue with the mission without issues.
We’ve found a temporary solution that should help with the issue. While we don’t know when the underlying bug will be fixed, we also wanted to let you know about a problem some users are experiencing with entering the Hawk at the start of Welcome to the Frontier. Here’s how to work around that:
- Disable your Renegades abilities.
- Launch the mission once again.
- Select your abilities.
Developers are also working on fixing other problems, such as a bug with the Imperium trash compactor sequence. You can find more details in the post and on the channel. Best of luck!
