Fans of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have plenty of themed merchandise options, but a new collaboration offers something truly unique and useful: a real, working exoskeleton designed to help you carry more and move with ease.
Dnsys, working with Kojima Productions, has unveiled a limited-edition Death Stranding 2 Z1 Exoskeleton, designed in collaboration with art director Yoji Shinkawa. While the price hasn’t been announced yet (it’s scheduled to release in December), the basic Z1 leg set currently costs around $1,500, and more advanced models with hip support and additional features can reach $2,800, giving a good indication of the expected price range.
Okay, so Dnsys is making a real-life exoskeleton inspired by Death Stranding 2! It’s called the Z1, and it looks like something straight out of the game, even having lights to show you how much battery life is left. They’re saying I can get around four hours of walking with it on a single charge, and you can swap batteries quickly. It’s designed to take pressure off my knees, gives me a 50% boost to my walking power, and lets me hike up to 15.5 miles! The coolest part? It’s supposed to make me feel like I weigh 44 pounds less. Seriously, this thing sounds awesome for anyone who loves long hikes or is a huge fan of the game.
Exoskeletons are essential equipment in Death Stranding, helping players carry deliveries across a broken world. These powered suits range from basic models to combat versions that enable powerful attacks, and are used by nearly all couriers, including the main character, Sam Porter Bridges. Beyond the game itself, Kojima Productions also sells Death Stranding merchandise like clothing, high-end watches, collectible figures, and a cute cryptobiote keychain – though Fragile might not approve of that last one.
If you’re looking for something less expensive, consider the Backbone One controller for smartphones, designed for Death Stranding, or the detailed Higgs figure from Hot Toys, which even features implanted hair.
