Crazy Token Unlock Week: SUI, JUP, SIGN Shake Markets

Well, folks, the crypto sky is thick with talk of a token unlock week, and the plan calls for more than $650 million to mosey into circulation over the next seven days.

Sui unlock brings largest release

Sui will unlock 42.62 million SUI tokens on May 1. The release is worth about $40.39 million and accounts for 1.08% of Sui’s released supply.

The SUI unlock will go to several groups. Series B investors will receive 19.32 million SUI, while the community reserve will get 12.63 million tokens. Early contributors will receive 8.60 million SUI, and Mysten Labs will get 2.07 million tokens.

Jupiter and Sign unlocks arrive April 28

Jupiter will release 53.47 million JUP tokens on April 28. The unlock is worth about $9.77 million and represents 1.53% of its released supply.

Most of the JUP tokens will go to the team, which will receive 38.89 million JUP. Mercurial stakeholders will receive 14.58 million JUP as part of the scheduled release.

Sign will also unlock tokens on April 28. The project will release 401.1 million SIGN tokens, worth about $7.05 million.

The SIGN unlock represents 20.78% of its released supply. Community incentives will receive 150 million SIGN, while the ecosystem will receive 45 million tokens. The foundation, backers and early team members will also receive allocations.

More unlocks add to market watch

Other projects will also add supply to the market this week. Optimism, Treehouse and Zora are among the tokens with scheduled releases.

Major one-time token unlocks above $5 million include SUI, JUP, SIGN, EIGEN, OMNI and GUN. It also said major linear unlocks above $1 million per day include RAIN, SOL, CC, TRUMP and WLD.

The total value of major unlocks may vary by token price and tracking source. Still, traders are watching SUI, JUP and SIGN closely because their releases could shape short-term market moves this week.
