Okay, so the 2026 Oscars were… something else. Conan O’Brien was hosting, and he decided to open with a really dark joke – a reference to the Epstein case and Prince Andrew. I was honestly shocked! He pointed out that no British actors were nominated for the main acting awards that year, and then delivered this line about Britain at least arresting its alleged pedophiles. It was a clear dig at Prince Andrew, who’d been arrested earlier that year. It definitely injected a weird, uncomfortable energy into the show, and I’m still not sure how I feel about it!
Then, O’Brien did a bit where Michael B. Jordan filled in for all the seat fillers in one area. While it’s good to hold people responsible, we’d rather just daydream about a world overflowing with Michael B. Jordans.
