Okay, so there’s this game called Atomfall, came out in 2025. It’s an action-survival thing, and honestly, it’s pretty clear it was inspired by Fallout, but with a really cool British spin. Instead of the usual American post-apocalypse, it’s based on the Windscale disaster, and they’ve swapped things like baseball bats for cricket bats – it’s a fun little detail! Apparently, Two Brothers Pictures is now turning it into a TV show, which I’m actually pretty excited about.

Following a nuclear accident in 1957 – based on the real-life Windscale incident – a heavily guarded and restricted zone is created. This version of events portrays the accident as far more serious than it actually was.

We don’t have all the details about the movie’s plot yet, but most insiders believe it will likely follow the story of the player character from the games. Leaked clips have confirmed that some well-known characters will appear, including the unsettling Dung Eater and the powerful Queen Marika.

So, they just launched a test for the game, and it’s awesome! They’ve also shown off some new characters – both the heroes you play as and the monsters you’ll fight. I’m jumping in right now, and you can play solo or team up with up to three friends. It’s available for players who signed up and got selected in a bunch of regions – China, Japan, a few places in Asia like Malaysia and the Philippines, and then the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Spain, and the UK.
