Elden Ring can seem enjoyable if you don’t focus too much on the stories of the characters you meet. But if you take the time to learn about those characters, you’ll quickly discover how bleak and sad the world really is.
As a huge Elden Ring fan, I’m so excited about the upcoming Elden Ring: The Tarnished Edition! It’s going to include everything – the original game, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and a ton of new stuff like weapons, skills, and armor. They’re even adding two completely new starting classes! One, the Knight of Ides, looks like it’ll be good for a balanced build, using a lighter greatsword. The other, which people are calling the ‘Heavy Armor Warrior’, is all about strength and wielding a massive greatsword. Honestly though, the best part for me is that they’re giving Torrent, our spectral steed, some new armor! That’s what I’ve been waiting for.

GreedFall: The Dying World, or GreedFall 2, was fully released in March 2026 after a period in Early Access, but it never really gained traction. Shortly after, the game’s developer, Spiders, was shut down by its publisher, Nacon. Spiders was also behind other games like GreedFall, Bound By Flame, The Technomancer, and SteelRising.
I was really excited to hear that Daniel Glatz, who spent eight years at Warhorse Studios working on Kingdom Come: Deliverance and the next game, is now joining CD Projekt RED! He was a senior game designer, writer, and lead level designer at Warhorse, and now he’s taking on the role of senior open world designer. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he brings to their future projects.

It’s not just told to you through cutscenes; you uncover the story by exploring, looking at the buildings around you, reading item descriptions, and even just watching how characters behave. Every corner of The Lands Between feels like it holds a secret, and you can really lose yourself digging into its rich past if you want to. It’s a world that rewards curiosity, and I’m loving discovering all its hidden truths!
