Season two of The Night Agent received largely negative reviews, scoring only 38% on Rotten Tomatoes’ audience score. Critics found the plot repetitive and felt it lacked the strength of the first season, possibly due to the absence of the original book by Matthew Quirk. A lot of fan frustration focused on the character of Rose Larkin and Luciane Buchanan’s portrayal of her, despite Buchanan being a strong actress, previously praised for her work in Chief of War. The issues seemed to stem from the writing for Rose in this season.

As a longtime fan, I was really bummed when Tom Bergeron left Dancing With the Stars. He was the host from the very beginning, back in 2005, all the way through 2019. It all went downhill, honestly, when they cast Sean Spicer, Trump’s former press secretary. Tom actually had a conversation with the producers beforehand, making it clear he wanted the show to be a fun escape from politics, not a part of it. He told Cheryl Burke that he specifically said, ‘Let’s not go there!’ But then they told him Spicer was being cast, and he felt completely betrayed. He even put out a statement saying the show wouldn’t be the joyful break everyone needed from political drama. He basically knew right then that season 28 would be his last. Now, thankfully, the producer responsible for that decision has been fired, and there’s a real chance Tom might come back to host – which would be amazing! It’s like welcoming him home to the ballroom.

Actress Brewer recently spoke with Joe Deckelmeier at MovieWeb about her role in the new film Anniversary, directed by Jan Komasa, who is known for his films Corpus Christi and The Hater. Anniversary centers on a family grappling with upheaval as a new social movement gains traction. Brewer plays Anna, a family member who experiences the group’s downfall. When asked if the film’s story felt uncomfortably relevant to the current state of free speech in the country, she responded:

Before the release of Hulu’s All’s Fair (which received negative reviews), Kim Kardashian and Sarah Paulson were guests on The Graham Norton Show. They discussed how the Kardashian family first became famous on reality TV. Kim explained it wasn’t primarily due to her father’s involvement in the O.J. Simpson trial – famously portrayed on TV with David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian. Instead, she credited her stepfather at the time, Bruce Jenner, with playing a significant role.

It’s no surprise that some early episodes of The Simpsons haven’t held up well over time. Beyond instances where the show disappointed fans, many older episodes just feel dated because of how culture and humor have changed. What was once considered daring now seems mild, and jokes that were once subtle now feel obvious.

The announcement of a new Dragon Ball anime is already big news, but Toei Animation (the studio behind Dragon Ball) has made two more announcements that make things even better. These announcements suggest the next Dragon Ball series will be the most visually stunning yet. Dragon Ball DAIMA already set a new standard for animation quality in the popular Dragon Ball universe, and this upcoming series has the potential to be even better than the classic DBZ.

A movie adaptation of the popular children’s series CoComelon, titled CoComelon: The Movie, is scheduled to come out on February 26, 2027, according to Deadline. The movie will be produced by Moonbug Entertainment, which also makes the TV show, with additional production support from Flywheel Media. Currently, it’s the only film planned for release on that date.

Brendan Fraser and Michael Shannon head up the cast of Death by Lightning, playing Garfield and Guiteau. They’re joined by Nick Offerman, Betty Gilpin, Bradley Whitford, and Shea Whigham – marking the seventh time Shannon and Whigham have worked together. The series is the newest project from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of Game of Thrones, and continues their partnership with Netflix following their adaptation of 3 Body Problem.

With some people starting to feel tired of superhero movies, Marvel Studios might benefit from focusing more on characters like Deadpool. The success of Deadpool & Wolverine showed that Marvel films with mature content can be huge hits. These characters could bring a grittier, more violent edge to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, exploring complex themes and chaos – potentially leading to similar success for future installments like Deadpool 3.

I’m really excited about the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, One Battle After Another, and I’ve been checking for when it’ll be available to stream. While there’s no official date yet, Warner Bros. usually brings their movies to HBO Max pretty quickly. If their past releases are anything to go by, I’m guessing we’ll be able to watch it around December 12th. I’m also really intrigued by Chase Infiniti, the new actor starring alongside DiCaprio!
