If you love Disney and have been spending time in Dreamlight Valley (especially with the recent addition of characters from Inside Out), you might be looking for something completely different. The developers at Little Sewing Machine have created just that with their new horror game, Bye Sweet Carole, which is available now. It features a charming, animated style, but with a genuinely unsettling and frightening twist.
Hop like a cute bunny through this twisted journey
Bye Sweet Carole is a story-driven horror game created by Chris Darril (known for Remothered) and Little Sewing Machine, with help from Meangrip Game Studio. The game takes place in England during the early 1900s, a time when women were fighting for the right to vote. You play as Lana, who is searching for her friend Carole after she disappears from the Bunny Hall orphanage. As Lana investigates, she finds herself pulled into the unsettling world of Corolla.
She’ll encounter frightening characters such as the menacing Mr. Kyn, the harsh owl Velenia, and creepy swarms of tar rabbits as she discovers the hidden, dark secrets of Bunny Hall and the surrounding areas.
Early gameplay shows that Lana has the ability to transform into a rabbit – and even change between different types of rabbits – to solve puzzles and avoid enemies. The game combines exploring environments, sneaking around, jumping challenges, and brain-teasers. It creates a mix of intense, scary moments alongside more mysterious and atmospheric scenes.

The actors do a fantastic job of making the story feel real. You’ll love the charming characters like Mr. Beasie – that quirky man with the umbrella – and even the little birds who sometimes help out in a classic Disney way. While there are definitely scary monsters and spooky moments, I’m most eager to see what happens next in the plot.
Bye Sweet Carole launches on October 9 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
