Bungie announced updates to the Marathon Rewards Pass, adding more cosmetic items for all players, whether they use the free or paid track.
The developer announced the update on X (formerly Twitter) on March 10th, explaining they’re adding more content to the pass. This includes new skins for Runners and weapons, and they shared some early designs of what’s coming.
Marathon Rewards Pass getting new Shell Styles
Bungie plans to add new Runner Shell Styles to the Rewards Pass in an update expected in April, coinciding with the game’s mid-season update.
Players on the premium track will gain access to new skins for the Thief, Assassin, and Destroyer Shells. A fourth skin, designed for the Recon Shell, will be available to all players on the free track.
Bungie announced that players will be able to earn a new cosmetic shell – the Triage Shell with an Arachne design – by playing the game and progressing through the Codex system in a mid-season update.
The recent updates to the Reward Pass follow Bungie’s announcement that they’re adjusting the cost of in-game currency (Marathon’s LUX). Players will now get more of it for their money. Bungie also confirmed the first update after launch will make the beginning of the game easier.

A new challenging map called Cryo Archive should be released later this month. Players are currently working together to solve a puzzle – an ARG, or alternate reality game – to uncover more details about it.
