Brock Baker, who voices the character Brody Foxx in the popular YouTube series Yo Mama, has stated that he is not connected to a new cryptocurrency based on the show’s memes.
Baker released a video explaining the situation after Zach James, co-creator of ‘Yo Mama,’ advertised a cryptocurrency associated with the show. Baker clarified that he doesn’t manage the ‘Yo Mama’ social media and isn’t involved with any cryptocurrency or Web3 projects related to the channel.
I’m Brock Baker, and I also perform as Brody Foxx, known as ‘the Yo Mama guy,'” he explained. “I provide the voice for Brody Foxx, Frank the Cap, and many other characters on the Yo Mama channel. However, I don’t manage the Twitter or YouTube accounts, and I have no involvement with any of the Yo Mama or Brody Foxx social media platforms. I’m also not connected to any cryptocurrency, meme coins, or Web3 projects.

Baker also mentioned that Zach James, the co-creator of Yo Mama, manages all of the brand’s social media accounts. Baker clarified that James frequently points out he’s the one handling social media, not Baker himself.
The actor also mentioned he doesn’t want to get involved in online arguments about this. He admitted he doesn’t use Twitter much – he still calls it Twitter, actually – and doesn’t want to spend his time arguing with people online all day.
I remember stumbling across Yo Mama videos back in the early 2010s – they were hilarious! It was all about these animated insults, and this character Brody Foxx was the star. Honestly, things haven’t been the same lately, though. I heard the original team split up and there were some changes behind the scenes, so the videos don’t come out as often anymore. It’s a shame, they were a fun distraction back in the day.
Baker shared that he’s prioritizing creative work like voice acting and making funny videos over ventures like cryptocurrency. He doesn’t plan on regularly posting ‘Yo Mama’ videos anymore, and his focus remains on bringing laughter through cartoons and video games.

This explanation is being offered because meme coins linked to online figures are facing increasing criticism, especially when it’s unclear which creators are actually participating. Baker has stated that he’s only involved as a voice actor for the animated character, clarifying his limited role.
