Today, 505 Games and MercurySteam revealed a new video highlighting the features of the Blades of Fire 2.0 update, including the challenging Titanium Difficulty and the New Game Plus mode.

This video builds on recent announcements about the 2.0 update and features on Transmutation and Photo Mode. Blades of Fire is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Epic Games Store for PC. It will be released on Steam on May 14th, along with the 2.0 update for all platforms. A demo for the Steam version is available now, and your progress in the demo will carry over to the full game.

Good news for Steam Deck users: MercurySteam has confirmed Blades of Fire will run at 30 frames per second and support the 16:10 aspect ratio. They’ve also created a recommended button layout specifically for the Steam Deck, as shared in an interview with Steam Deck HQ.

The dark fantasy action game Blades of Fire is launching on Steam soon, and developers MercurySteam and publisher 505 Games have just announced two more features coming with the Version 2.0 update. In the final video of their feature reveal series, they showcased a very challenging new difficulty mode called Titanium Difficulty, as well as New Game Plus, which lets players replay the game with their existing progress and further improve their skills.

Titanium Difficulty is an extremely challenging mode designed for veteran players who want the ultimate test. It demands careful planning, smart combat, and a deep understanding of enemy patterns to survive. Enemies have increased health, stronger armor, and deal 20% more damage. Boss fights are also tougher, requiring precise timing and skillful play. To add to the challenge, the Queen has cursed some of the Anvils, making them unusable for resting or fast travel and slowing down Aran’s journey.

Once you finish Blades of Fire for the first time, you’ll unlock New Game Plus. This lets you replay the game with most of your progress intact – you’ll keep your skills, upgrades, gems, weapons, blueprints, materials, forge memory, codex entries, spells, and unlocked skins. However, enemies will deal more damage based on your maximum health. For those who love to collect everything, New Game Plus adds two new skins and 27 unique forge statues. These statues are visible on the map from the beginning, and offering the correct weapon type to each one will unlock new weapon parts at the forge.

If you’re a player who enjoys a tough challenge and earning great rewards, Titanium Difficulty and New Game Plus modes are perfect for you.
