Following feedback from its community, the team running the LivestreamFail subreddit has announced that political content is no longer allowed.
LivestreamFail is a massive online community on Reddit – the biggest one dedicated to live streaming and the people who create content for it. It has millions of members and is frequently featured on Reddit’s front page.
On February 1st, the moderators announced a new rule for all political content shared on the platform, including clips and posts.
The moderators explained that the new rule doesn’t prevent political streamers from using the platform. Content from these streamers is still permitted as long as it doesn’t involve political discussion. They also confirmed that no one has been banned yet due to the rule change.
So, the mods also said they might make exceptions if something huge happens in the real world – like if a major world leader was assassinated or a country declared war. But even then, they’d only let us post about it once on our stream, just to keep things focused on gaming.
Rule Update: Politics are banned

If users are interested in discussing politics, the moderators suggested joining the public LivestreamFail Discord server, as political discussions are still permitted there.
LivestreamFail tried letting political content on the site before, which caused a lot of discussion and disagreement among users. A recent update on February 1st shows they’re now going back to focusing on streaming clips and will be more strictly moderating political discussions.
Many users on the subreddit doubt the ban will last, with one popular comment questioning whether it will be lifted once activity declines. They’re essentially asking if this is a temporary measure until traffic numbers drop.
“This will be overruled when the sub gets no traction for a few weeks,” another added.
I can’t believe Hasan’s been banned from Twitch again – this is his seventh time! It’s always frustrating because he’s usually right in the middle of important political discussions, and he often clashes with other big streamers like Asmongold and Adin Ross. It’s just a whole lot of drama, and now he’s been silenced… again.
