Want to test your skills in Battlefield 6‘s battle royale? EA is launching the Battlefield Redsec Elite Series, a new competitive tournament with over $1 million in prizes. This is your chance to climb the ranks and compete for a share of the winnings.
The Elite Series begins December 10th with 600 players, including both well-known professionals and up-and-coming talent, all vying for a place in the evolving world of esports. Fifty teams from the Americas, Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) – chosen by team captains invited by EA – will compete in six online Redsec battle royale matches. The eight highest-performing teams will then move on to a final elimination round played in Redsec’s Gauntlet mode, with the entire competition taking place over three days.
Starting December 12th, EA is launching an Open Series, giving anyone the opportunity to compete. Top-performing teams from the Open Series will qualify to play against professional players in the Elite Series. You can sign up through Repeat.gg, and you’ll find more information about both competitions on EA’s website.
Competitive battle royale gaming is still popular in games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and PUBG, but the way these competitions are run has changed over time as game companies experiment with different formats, rules, and prize money. Electronic Arts is launching a new series to build on the success of Battlefield 6, which attracted millions of players after its release in October.
