Still no official release date for the Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord DLC, unfortunately. While there’s still time this fall, TaleWorlds is instead offering fans a first look at extended gameplay footage focused on the ‘War Sails’ feature.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord’s first DLC gets a gameplay showcase

The developers have been hinting at the War Sails expansion for some time, showing off glimpses of new ships, the Nord faction, and their units. However, these previews have been brief, creating excitement without fully delivering on it. Fans even speculated about a dual-wielding mechanic based on a single developer image. Now, according to a recent post on X, a complete gameplay reveal is finally coming.

The new video comes out tomorrow, Thursday the 30th, at 4 PM Central European Time, 11 AM Eastern Time, or 8 AM Pacific Time. Unlike a typical trailer, this video will be a longer gameplay showcase, meaning we’ll likely see a lot of ship-to-ship battles, a closer look at how the Nord faction plays, and possibly some unexpected announcements from the developers.

Predictably, the comments on the video and X post are filled with excited fans demanding to know when the game will be released. Some are even playfully suggesting, or worrying, that TaleWorlds might push back the War Sails launch date after showing off gameplay.

Right now, we don’t have any firm information, but it would be frustrating if we didn’t hear anything at all about when it’s coming out – it would feel like they’re overlooking their fans. So, for now, we can only keep waiting and hoping for a positive update.
