Exciting news for Marvel fans! A sneak peek at upcoming reshoots has been revealed for the highly anticipated movie, Avengers: Doomsday. The fifth movie in the popular Avengers series will hit theaters on December 18th, with Avengers: Secret Wars following on December 17, 2027.
What’s the new update for Avengers: Doomsday?
A source on X, known as MyTimeToShineHello, says Marvel Studios is planning to shoot additional, large-scale action sequences during reshoots for Avengers: Doomsday, expected to begin this year. This news adds to the growing excitement around the movie, with previous reports suggesting it will be bigger and better than fans anticipate in terms of both quality and action.
Besides filming more action scenes, the studio is reportedly planning to bring in several new actors for reshoots. These could include Iman Vellani (as Ms. Marvel), Hailee Steinfeld (as Kate Bishop/Hawkeye), Kathryn Newton (as Cassie Lang), Gwyneth Paltrow (as Pepper Potts), Ryan Reynolds (as Deadpool), and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Joe and Anthony Russo directed ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ with a screenplay by Stephen McFeely. The film brings back familiar faces like Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. Joining them is a large cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Lewis Pullman, Simu Liu, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Danny Ramirez.
The next Avengers movie will bring back several familiar faces from the X-Men, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. There’s also talk that characters like Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Peggy Carter, and Spider-Man could make an appearance in the film.
