Players in Arc Raiders have discovered a glitch that significantly boosts the power of the first weapon you unlock, giving it an unfair advantage in player-versus-player combat.
Arc Raiders features a wide variety of weapons, each with unique strengths and ways to play. However, some weapons are more effective than others, particularly in direct combat with other players, where even a single mistake can lead to defeat.
Many players overlook the Kettle, the semi-automatic rifle that’s one of the first guns you get in the game.
This weapon was always pretty good, but a recent discovery has made it the strongest one in the game by far.
Macro Kettle exploit is dominating Arc Raiders
This helpful technique is only for players on PC. It involves setting up a quick series of actions to happen with a single mouse click, using a macro. When used on the Kettle weapon, this effectively makes it automatic – you can empty an entire magazine with just one click, instead of repeatedly pressing the fire button.
The rifle isn’t the strongest weapon in Arc Raiders, but it’s always dealt good damage. This was previously offset by its slow firing speed, bullet travel time, and lengthy reload. Now, with the firing speed improved, it can quickly defeat enemy players.
Ever since players noticed the new method, social media has been filled with complaints. One Reddit user, ‘ContextEFT’, posted a video showing them being defeated in less than half a second, even while using a Medium Shield. Another user, ‘Gigameister’, asked the game developers to address a problem with a tactic called the “Kettle macro” and to penalize players who misuse it.
Kettle Macro kills me in Medium Shield in under half a second.

Although it’s not quite the same as traditional cheating, this definitely gives players who use it an unfair edge, particularly because those using controllers can’t benefit from it.
