Arc Raiders’ first major update brings new map, tougher enemies, weapons, more

The new ‘North Line’ update is now available for Arc Raiders! It includes a fresh map, challenging new enemies, and plenty of new loot. Here’s a complete overview of everything you can expect.

Arc Raiders officially launched on October 30, 2025, after a long wait, and quickly became a hit with both critics and players.

Players are calling this game the best shooter of 2025 because of its satisfying gun combat, exciting mix of player-versus-player and player-versus-environment action, and immersive world. It’s already attracted hundreds of thousands of players, but the developers plan to keep adding to the experience, as this is a constantly updated extraction shooter.

Just two weeks after its launch, Arc Raiders has received a significant update called North Line, adding a wealth of new content. Here’s a complete look at what’s included.

Arc Raiders North Line update release date & start time

The North Line update for Arc Raiders will be available on Thursday, November 13th. It will launch at 1:30 AM Pacific Time, 4:30 AM Eastern Time, or 9:30 AM GMT.

Okay, so right now it’s not clear if the servers will go down when the new update drops, or if we’ll be able to keep playing through it. I’ll definitely keep you all posted here as soon as I get more info!

What’s in the first major Arc Raiders update?

New Region – Stella Montis

The new Stella Montis region is the main attraction, but it’s built for experienced, well-prepared players. It’s a challenging area, definitely not for beginners.

Okay, so getting to the new area isn’t just a walk in the park! As soon as the update drops, we’ll all need to work together on this ‘Breaking New Ground’ event to actually unlock it. It sounds like a community effort right from the start, which I think is pretty cool!

In the Breaking New Ground event, players can earn a new currency called Merits. Accumulating enough Merits will grant access to the Stella Montis map.

The map features a new enemy and tons of great rewards, details on the enemy are below.

Okay, so I’ve been checking out these ruins, and if you can actually finish the challenges inside, you get some seriously good stuff. I’m talking rare materials, new things to use in the game, and even blueprints for awesome weapons. Basically, beating these challenges gives you clues about how to finally take back the surface world – it’s a big step forward in the whole story!

Two new enemy types

With players getting the hang of Arc Raiders, we’re adding two new, challenging enemy types in this update to keep things interesting.

First up is The Matriarch, a massive ARC enemy that makes the Queen seem easy in comparison. Be warned – this will be a tough fight!

The Shredder is a new enemy found only in the Stella Montis region. We’re still learning how it works, but the developers have hinted that it will force players into intense, close-range combat.

New weapons & equipment

No update is complete without new items to find! We already know a new weapon, the Aphelion Rifle, will be available, but there’s likely to be more hidden throughout the game.
