
For the past year, fans of Animal Crossing in Australia have enjoyed a real-life experience based on the game at Sea Life aquariums nationwide. Now, the event is finishing its tour with a final stop in Auckland, New Zealand.
Nintendo announced on social media that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience is coming to Sea Life Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium in Auckland on December 16th. The event will be available for fans in Australia and New Zealand.

Guests can enjoy an interactive adventure featuring characters from Animal Horizon, like Isabelle, where they discover fascinating facts about the aquarium’s sea creatures, collect character stamps, and even search for Gulliver. Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed merchandise is also available at the park’s gift shop.
Although the tour has been extended in the past, it will definitely end on January 26, 2026. Before then, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be updated for the new Switch 2 console on January 15, 2026, and current Switch owners will also receive some fresh content. Meanwhile, a new game called Petit Planet could become a strong competitor in the relaxing, cozy gaming space.
