I was really sad when Silicon Valley ended back in 2019, but I think I’ve finally found a show that fills the void! AMC’s new series, The Audacity, is exactly the kind of tech-industry satire I was hoping for. Hollywood’s always been fascinated with the tech world, and this show definitely keeps that tradition going.

What Happens in The Audacity?

Episode 7 is the second-to-last one, and it opens with Duncan having lunch with his daughter, Jamison, when Carl unexpectedly arrives. Duncan attempts to brag about his new business, P.I.N.A.T.A, but Carl quickly dismisses it, making it clear he doesn’t think the data-stealing scheme is original or impressive.

Carl strongly disagrees with Duncan’s dismissal of privacy concerns, calling it an unacceptable overreaction. Duncan defends his position as simply ‘disruptive.’ Carl points out that the idea of sharing private data isn’t new, and highlights the existing legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding it. He concludes by suggesting that constant, unlimited growth isn’t a goal everyone should strive for.

AMC’s new show, The Audacity, explores the world of Silicon Valley, focusing on the flawed ambitions, huge personalities, and questionable morals of those who believe they’re building the future.

The story centers on Duncan Park, a bold CEO who uses data analysis to gain influence and make a profit. He sees himself as a visionary shaping the future.

The show received a mixed response. While critics generally liked the first season – giving it a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes – viewers were less impressed, with an audience score of only 46% based on a limited number of reviews (under 50).

He believes no one is inherently evil, but rather that everyone’s actions are understandable. However, he points out that the technology they’re developing, which relies on artificial intelligence – a field already fraught with ethical concerns – infringes on people’s privacy. Glatzer suggests this technology could be considered unintentionally harmful.

Zach Galifianakis Has a New Exciting Project

Even before his show started airing on April 12th, Zach Galifianakis had already secured another job.

A new comedy series, serving as a prequel to Mel Brooks’ classic film Young Frankenstein, is in the works. FX ordered a pilot episode back in October 2025. Zach Galifianakis will lead the cast, which also includes Dolly Wells, Spencer House, Nikki Crawford, Kumail Nanjiani, and Cary Elwes. A release date hasn’t been announced yet.

New episodes of The Audacity premiere this Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC, leading up to the season finale on May 31st. You can already watch episode 7, “Foundering,” on AMC+.
