Amazon is now offering incredibly fast delivery – getting everyday items to your door in about 30 minutes – and it’s currently available in two large US cities.
Amazon announced a new program called Amazon Now in a blog post on Monday. They’re testing it in select areas of Seattle and Philadelphia, promising delivery of thousands of everyday items and groceries – including fresh produce – in under 30 minutes.
So, Amazon’s getting super fast deliveries by using a bunch of smaller warehouses right in or near cities. Instead of one giant place, they’ve got these local hubs that quickly get orders ready and then drivers don’t have to travel as far to get them to us – which is awesome for impatient gamers like me!

How to use Amazon’s new “ultra fast” delivery service
Prime members pay $3.99 per order, while non-Prime members pay $13.99. You can also add a tip for the driver. Orders totaling less than $15 will include a small $1.99 fee.
As a gamer, I need to keep fueled and stocked up, right? So, this place has everything – you can grab all the basics like milk, eggs, and fresh produce. Plus, they’ve got stuff like toothpaste, makeup, treats for my furry friend, diapers if you need ’em, paper towels, over-the-counter meds when I’m pushing through a late-night raid, snacks for those long gaming sessions, and even seasonal stuff. Basically, one-stop shopping for life and gaming!
Customers in eligible areas can find the option inside the Amazon app under “30-Minute Delivery.”
Amazon is focusing more on groceries and getting orders to customers on the same day. They announced in August that they’re planning to offer same-day delivery of fresh groceries in 2,300 cities and towns across the US this year.
Amazon strives for excellent service, but occasionally mistakes happen. For example, one customer recently discovered their delivery had been left on the roof of their house.
