How to Complete Melinoë, Help Us in Hades 2
If you’ve been following the game and its Early Access content, you might be wondering how to advance the “Melinoë, Help Us” prophecy.
To progress the main storyline and advance the prophecy in Hades 2, you’ll need to reach the credits. This requires completing the Dissolution of Time incantation and finding Entropy. If you’re stuck, we have a detailed guide that walks you through finishing the main story.
Okay, so I’d been following the story while the game was in Early Access, and here’s what happened for me. Once I finished the main questline, the prophecy actually just *updated itself* – it was pretty cool! Just remember, you should already have Moros hanging out in the Crossroads at this point. If you get totally stuck, definitely talk to him, and also check in with Hecate and Chaos. They’re usually the ones who know what’s up with the Fates and where to find them.

How to Complete Melinoë, Remember Us in Hades 2
Once you finish the main story in Hades 2, you’ll unlock a new quest featuring Melinoë, called “Remember Us in the Fated List of Minor Prophecies.” In this quest, your goal is to explore both the Underworld and Olympus.
Okay, so after finishing the main story, the game really wants you to keep playing. I jumped back in and did three runs through the Underworld and one through Olympus, and that triggered the next part. I made sure to talk to *everyone* with a question mark over their head, which seemed to be important. I think chatting with Chaos was a big deal too, but honestly, it’s tough to say for sure exactly what Hades 2 needs to move things forward, it doesn’t always make it clear!
Use the run numbers as a general goal, but always confirm your progress on the Fated List of Minor Prophecies when you return to the Crossroads. Once you’ve finished an objective there, be aware that the next one will likely be more time-consuming.

How to Solve Every Hades 2 Riddle in Melinoë, Seek Us
The “Melinoë, Seek Us” objective in Hades 2 is notoriously tricky. It asks you to learn about six different characters, and while figuring out *who* they are isn’t always hard, it’s often unclear *how* to actually make progress with each one.
We’ll start by revealing the solution to each riddle, and then we’ll explain how counting played a role in fulfilling the prophecy.
- Seek to know he who is our emissary: Moros
- Seek to know they who created the world: Chaos
- Seek to know he who cast us out: Chronos
- Seek to know she who trained you: Hecate
- Seek to know he who rebels against the gods: Prometheus
- Seek to know he who labors for the gods: Hermes
Seek to know he who is our emissary
To do this, you need to fully maximize your relationship with Moros. This involves completing all of his interactions and giving him gifts he’ll accept until you achieve the “Bond Forged” status, which is shown by a special icon appearing on his Keepsake.
Seek to know they who created the world
We discovered that the objective was already finished when we reached Melinoë and started Seek Us. While we hadn’t fully bonded with Chaos yet, we did have a conversation with them regarding the Fates. To trigger this conversation yourself, we suggest going through any Chaos Gates you find and offering nectar at each one.
Seek to know he who cast us out
After completing the main story, Chronos will reappear near the fountain in the first region during Underworld runs. We had already spoken to him before discovering the new prophecy, and like with Chaos, this happened automatically for us. You can also build a relationship with him by giving him at least one nectar. We weren’t required to do this, but it’s an option if things are different in your game. However, you probably don’t need to fully max out your bond with him.
Seek to know she who trained you
Something strange happened while I was working on Hecate’s bond. I kept mentioning the Three Fates while giving her gifts at the Crossroads whenever she’d accept them. Just before fully maxing out the bond, we triggered the ‘Vow of Rivals’ from the Testaments and battled a different version of Hecate. After winning and finishing the Underworld challenge, we went back to the Crossroads and found the objective was marked as complete. If you’re having trouble leveling up your bond with Hecate, this might help.

Seek to know he who rebels against the gods
Prometheus can’t form a relationship with your character, and you can only talk to him during the boss fight in Olympus. It took us a few tries, but eventually he started talking about the Three Fates, which unlocked the next step in our task list. It’s still unclear exactly how many times we had to encounter him before he did, though.
Heracles brought up the Fates while exploring Olympus, and his beliefs align with those of Prometheus. Given the focus on major characters in the ‘Seek Us’ questline, talking to Heracles isn’t usually necessary. However, if you find yourself completely stuck, giving him nectar bottles when you encounter him can help.
Seek to know he who labors for the gods
Okay, so this riddle is tricky – it could be about Hermes *or* Charon. Honestly, I think Charon is the better bet. He’s basically the official worker for the gods on Olympus. The frustrating part is, we’ve already maxed out our progress with him! When we first got this objective, we’d already reached the point where the game told us, “Charon may not say no to Ambrosia after earning more Nightmare and using Obol Points to redeem rewards.” It feels like a dead end, sadly.
We played through the game multiple times, unlocking the Nightmare ending for seven different characters. We also consistently spent points at the Crossroads shop whenever possible, and advanced Hermes’ storyline. Hermes had his own progression requirements – he would only accept Ambrosia once certain conditions were met, specifically after addressing immediate issues and after enough offerings at his shrines.
We regularly contributed to his shrines whenever possible, and completing other tasks eventually unlocked the ability to become ‘Bond Forged’. Reaching the Crossroads triggered the final step of this objective. However, we were still unable to progress Charon’s bond, as it remained locked.
It’s tricky to say whether Hermes or Charon is the right choice for what you’re trying to do. As long as you meet the requirements we discussed, you should be all set.
We shall attempt to reach you thus again
This task is pretty straightforward. After completing all the other goals, simply start another playthrough. I chose the Underworld, but any location should work. When you return to the Crossroads, you’ll hear Moros mention that the Fated List of Minor Prophecies seemed to react while you were gone.

How to Complete Melinoë, Find Us
Just when you thought you were finished, there’s still one more thing you need to do before you can find the Three Fates in Hades 2.
The Melinoë quest, ‘Find Us,’ requires you to use the Engraved Pin – Moros’ Keepsake – three times in a row within the Oceanus chambers, then intentionally let yourself be defeated. This pin has a special effect: if you reach 0 HP while it’s equipped, you’ll be ‘doomed,’ but if you then defeat all enemies within 10 seconds, you’ll be revived.
Okay, so to get this done, you need to head into the Underworld and make your way to Oceanus, which is the second area. When you first arrive, Melinoë will actually *hint* at what you need to do – something about the Fates. Here’s the tricky part: you need to start a fight, get pretty far into it without actually winning, and then let the enemies kill you. Then, a quick 10-second challenge will pop up. You have to repeat this process – start a fight, almost win, get killed, complete the challenge – in *two more* rooms. Basically, find a room with enemies (not a shop or someone to talk to), do it there, then repeat in a different room, and then *one more* time. It’s a little weird, but it works!

Our strategy was to start in the very first room. We focused on eliminating enemies individually, leaving only one or two standing, to check if another group was coming. If there weren’t any more, we’d intentionally take damage until our health reached zero, then quickly finish off the last enemies.
We completed three enemy encounters after finishing the Engraved Pin challenge, then entered a fourth. This time, instead of fighting, we intentionally lost the encounter. Because we had already fully bonded with Moros as part of the Fates quest, this triggered a romantic scene. Unfortunately, this meant we had to start the whole process over again in a new attempt.
