Adam Sandler and Ariana Grande first met while waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland. During a conversation for Variety’s “Actors on Actors,” they recalled the experience. Grande remembered being spooked by a particular moment in the ride – the illusion of a hanging body – while Sandler mostly remembered how empty the park was. “It was like 11 o’clock at night, and there was no line,” he said.
Adam Sandler shared a story about meeting Ariana Grande while she was dating Mac Miller. Sandler, along with his wife and daughters (who are big Ariana Grande fans), attended the meeting. He recalled that his family loved Grande’s cover of “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Disney’s Hercules, playing it constantly after it was released, and even praised the song’s composer, Alan Menken. While Grande herself barely remembers recording the song, calling that time a “pandemic blackout,” Sandler definitely does.
