Microsoft occasionally surprises Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers by adding games without announcing them in their usual twice-monthly update schedule (the most recent was November 18th). Yesterday, they did just that with Young Suns, releasing it into Early Access (Game Preview) and making it immediately available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
Young Suns is a game created by KO_OP, the team behind Goodbye Volcano High, that combines the excitement of sci-fi adventures with the realism of space life simulations. Players become astronauts tasked with exploring Jupiter and its surroundings – including asteroids, stations, and ancient ruins – all in pursuit of valuable resources.
While playing, you’ll explore the world, get to know and build friendships with characters you meet, personalize your spaceship, and change how your character looks.

Okay, so before I dive into what you need to run Young Suns, I wanted to let you know something important. It’s out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but as of today, it’s not on Steam yet – though they do have a page up there. If you’re a PC gamer, you’ll have to grab it from the Microsoft Store for now.
