The team at Unfrozen, the developers of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, recently spoke with PC Gamer in an insightful interview.
So, the game’s coming to Early Access next year, which I’m super hyped about! But the devs aren’t rushing it – they really want to launch with something that feels like a full game, not just a demo you have to pay for. They’re saying first impressions are huge, and they only get one chance to nail it. The CEO did mention that things won’t be flawless from the start, but they’re aiming for a solid experience even in Early Access.
We’ve still got a lot of work to do, so expect some adjustments to the game’s balance during Early Access. It’s impossible to please everyone, and we’ll be constantly making changes based on your feedback.

During a recent interview, the developers explained they’re drawing inspiration from across the entire game series, but are especially concentrating on the second and third games.
The PC game Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, originally scheduled to launch this year, will now be released in 2026.
