Amongst the many enticing aspects of Borderlands 4’s endgame, none ignite my excitement quite like Maurice’s elusive Black Market Vending Machine. However, there’s a twist – this machine doesn’t stick around for too long; it’s constantly on the move!
Each week, this game takes us to a fresh, unexplored location, and if you’re not on the hunt for it, you’ll likely miss out on some epic Legendary loot. It’s like embarking on a scavenger hunt, and at times, it can get pretty tricky if you’re unsure where to begin your quest as a gamer.
If you’ve completed the main story and acquired Maurice’s device, you are now prepared for the search party.
Maurice’s Black Market Vending machine location

During the period from September 12 to September 18, Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine will be located in Plungeford, a small area nestled in the north of Coastal Bonescape. It is situated southwest of The Launchpad, making it an ideal fast travel destination for those seeking a quick journey there.
Upon reaching Plungeford, anticipate encountering opposition as it’s teeming with Rippers. To use the vending machine, you’ll first have to eliminate these threats.
The machine is located on the balcony of the tallest building in the vicinity, just a bit further than the checkpoint’s respawn area. However, it’s nearly impossible to spot from a distance, so approach carefully to have a clear view of it.
The machine will stay put at its current position until the weekly reset, which occurs every Thursday at 12:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Once the reset happens, the machine will disappear and resurface elsewhere, so remember to drop by before it moves to a new location.
How to unlock Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine

In simpler terms, the vending machine belonging to Maurice doesn’t show up at the beginning of the game. Instead, you have to finish the main storyline of Borderlands 4 first, a task that typically requires about 30 hours to complete, before you can access it.
After the closing credits, you’ll unlock the “Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode” (UVHM), a feature that presents additional missions tailored for the game’s post-campaign play.
In the mission known as “Ultimate Vault Hunter: Maurice’s Bounty”, for the very first time, you will encounter a vending machine. This quest requires you to locate the Black Market and claim a reward from there as your task.
Upon finishing this task, Maurice’s device will be integrated into the expansive digital realm, relocating to a fresh spot each week.
As you approach the machine, it will become subtly less visible until you’re approximately twenty meters away from it.
Upon its complete formation, a marker will be set for ease of future location until a reset occurs. Additionally, you can monitor Maurice’s weekly movements using the “Weekly Activities” menu, where you’ll find the time left until the next move.
While weapons are important, they’re not the only factor in creating the optimal builds for characters like Rafa, Amon, Vex, and Harlowe. Rest assured, we provide comprehensive guides to help you build them effectively.
