Arc Raiders Players Unlocked New Map With Lightning Speed

Embark Studios recently released a big update for Arc Raiders called North Line. This update included a new map, Stella Montis, but players had to complete a community challenge to unlock it. Arc Raiders players quickly finished the challenge—in less than 38 hours—and gained access to the new map.

Players who wanted to access Stella Montis – a hidden area on the map located in a desolate part of the game world – needed to donate a large number of resources to dig their way there. The game developers, Embark, explained that they increased the donation requirements because players were giving more resources than expected. However, even with the higher requirements, players still managed to reach the goal.

Players can now explore the new Stella Montis map and gain experience points. The map features ruins described as strangely well-preserved, cold, sterile, and full of mystery. You’ll encounter ARC enemies, including two new types: The Matriarch and The Shredder.

Alongside the Stella Montis missions, players can now find a powerful new energy rifle and three fast-deploying items: an impulse mine, a timed mine, and a gas jump mine. The game also features two fresh ways to play: Lone Wolf and Trailblazer.

Arc Raiders had a very successful launch weekend, reaching a peak of over 462,000 players on Steam – a new record for games in the ‘extraction shooter’ genre. The game also sold 2.5 million copies in its first week. Despite this success, Arc Raiders is facing criticism for its use of AI-generated voices for characters.
