Major Ubisoft News Could Be Imminent After Last-Minute Change

Ubisoft has postponed the release of its first-half financial results for the fiscal year 2026, stating they will be published “in the coming days.” The announcement came right before the initial release was scheduled.

The company unexpectedly announced on November 13th that it’s delaying the release of its earnings report until it publishes its results for the first half of 2025-26. It has also requested that Euronext, a European stock exchange, temporarily stop trading its shares until the company is ready to resume.

Ubisoft has delayed the release of its financial results for the first half of the 2025-26 fiscal year. As a result, the company has asked Euronext to temporarily stop trading of its stocks (FR0000054470) and bonds (FR001400DV38, FR001400MA32, and FR0014000O87) starting November 14, 2025. Trading will resume once the results are published, and Ubisoft will announce when that will be.

According to Daniel Ahmad, a research director and games analyst at Niko Partners, this move could hint at a significant announcement from the company in the near future.

Ubisoft has delayed its financial report and stopped people from trading its stock. The reason isn’t known yet, but it suggests a significant announcement is coming soon.

Insider Gaming reports that Ubisoft’s CFO, Frederick Duguet, explained the recent delay to employees in an internal email. He stated the extra time is needed to complete the financial quarter and avoid rumors. While acknowledging this would likely cause questions, Duguet said he couldn’t provide further details due to legal restrictions.

It’s too early to say what these changes mean for Ubisoft, but it’s definitely a period of uncertainty. In October, Marc-Alexis Côté, a key creative leader on the Assassin’s Creed series, left after 20 years with the company. Reports suggest Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin’s Creed game set during the Civil War due to negative reactions to a character in the recent ‘Shadows’ game. Plus, their financial reports from July 2025 show that revenue continues to decline.
