Batman is back in a thrilling new project featuring many of his classic enemies, including Two-Face, who has an unexpected part to play. Harvey Dent’s tragic story as Two-Face has been powerfully shown in DC adaptations, most notably in Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed film, The Dark Knight, which many consider the definitive Batman movie.
It’s been over fifteen years since Aaron Eckhart portrayed Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the 2008 Batman film, and the character hasn’t made a full appearance in a live-action movie since. While Two-Face has appeared in several animated projects and TV shows within the DC universe, he’s now returning with a fresh interpretation in the new Batman animated series.
DC Has Revealed What Bat-Fam’s Two-Face Looks Like
Bat-Fam is a creative take on the Bat-Family from DC Comics. It features classic heroes, former villains who’ve turned good, and even a ghostly, revenge-driven Ra’s al Ghul—all sharing a home at Wayne Manor. While Two-Face isn’t a main character, Harvey Dent does make an appearance in the Prime Video series.
All ten episodes of Bat-Fam are now available on Prime Video. In the second episode, viewers encounter Two-Face and learn a significant new detail about this interpretation of the character. Visually, Harvey Dent’s appearance as Two-Face is consistent with how fans generally picture the Batman villain after his transformation.
As a film buff, I’ve always been struck by Two-Face’s visual design. One side of his face is horrifically scarred, almost like a burned skull, while the other remains his original, handsome self with blonde hair. It’s mirrored in his clothing too – half the suit is one style, the other half completely different. But what really surprised me learning about the character is that he’s actually been reformed! He’s not a villain anymore, and he has two adorable young daughters, Judy and Trudy Dent. It’s a fascinating twist!
How Bat-Fam’s Two-Face Compares To Other Versions Of The Batman Villain?
As far as Two-Face’s appearance goes, he generally looks like… well, Two-Face! That scarred face is iconic, of course, but the specifics of how scarred can change a lot depending on the movie or show. What really struck me about this version, though, is that his burnt side feels genuinely burnt – like by fire, not acid, and it’s thankfully not overly stylized or colorful like some other takes on the character. It’s a much grittier, more realistic look, which I really appreciated.
The idea of Two-Face having two distinct appearances isn’t new – we’ve seen it in projects like Batman: Caped Crusader, Harley Quinn, and even Tommy Lee Jones’ portrayal in Batman Forever. This series adds another layer of originality by introducing Two-Face’s daughters, Judy and Trudy Dent, who are unique to this version of the character and offer a fresh perspective on the classic Batman villain.
