Season 4 of Invincible will introduce characters even more powerful than Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun). After the dramatic events of Season 3, the new episodes promise to push Mark to his limits, especially after his victory over Conquest, a formidable Viltrumite, in the season finale. A key moment setting up Season 4 was Mark telling his half-brother, Oliver, that he shouldn’t hold back from eliminating any threats to their family.
Mark’s changed outlook on killing might make him a bigger threat in the next season, but other characters could potentially help him regain control. With Invincible Season 4 expected in March 2026, here’s a look at who could win in a fight against Mark.
Thragg

Grand Regent Thragg, a major villain in Invincible Season 4, is likely the most powerful Viltrumite to ever live. He’s far stronger and more dangerous than Mark Grayson is right now, and he’s specifically designed to be a brutal and efficient fighter.
As a huge Invincible fan, it really feels like Thragg’s arrival means we’re getting into the final stretch of the story! It’s clear Mark’s going to have to go all-out – even beyond what we saw with Conquest – to have any chance against him. The way Season 3 ended, with Thragg talking about abandoning principles to protect family, definitely gave me the impression that Mark will have to make some really tough choices and maybe even break his no-kill rule to win. It’s setting up to be an epic showdown!
In the comic books, Mark managed to go toe-to-toe with Thragg, and eventually won their final fight, which took place near the sun. Some fans noted that Mark had already surpassed Thragg in terms of raw power, with Thragg’s advantage being his greater skill and battle experience.
Battle Beast

Battle Beast is a character in Invincible who often acts as both a villain and an ally, primarily driven by his love of fighting. He’s one of the most powerful fighters who isn’t a Viltrumite, and proved he could go toe-to-toe with Mark Grayson (Invincible) and even the Guardians of the Globe as seen in Season 1.
When Invincible Season 4 starts, he seems to be helping the heroes, as Allen the Alien brought him in to fight the Viltrum Empire. However, the comics show he’s ultimately killed by Thragg, the villain Mark eventually defeats. This suggests that the Season 4 villain is more powerful than Battle Beast but not as strong as Mark, because Mark later triumphs over Thragg.
Omni-Man

Even though Omni-Man beat Mark in Season 1 of Invincible, Mark was still developing his powers at that point. By the time Season 4 starts, Mark has become significantly stronger – he’s defeated powerful enemies like Conquest, evil versions of himself, and Angstrom Levy – meaning he now surpasses Omni-Man in strength.

BONUS: Allen the Alien

In Season 3 of Invincible, Allen the Alien got a significant power boost after recovering from his regeneration. This upgrade now puts him at a similar, or even greater, power level as Mark Grayson when Season 4 starts, allowing him to effectively fight Viltrumites.
According to the Invincible comics, Mark will eventually become more powerful than Allen the Alien at his peak, even exceeding his abilities during the Viltrum War, solidifying his position as the stronger fighter.
