In approximately a week since its release, Hollow Knight: Silksong has been breaking records with impressive player numbers. Within just a few days, the sequel managed to attract five million players, even without mobile versions available. Notably, there’s yet no official mobile port of Silksong, but players can enjoy their Steam cloud saves on an Android device through an alternative method.
According to a report on The Verge, the latest GameHub version 5.0 by GameSir allows players to enjoy the Windows-like experience on their Android devices, even playing Silksong. Remarkably, this feature lets gamers continue from where they left off at home, as they can access their saved games from Steam.
Using GameHub for your Silksong journey comes with certain limitations. For instance, at the moment, you can’t save your progress on GameHub and upload it to Steam – a challenge that GameSir is working hard to address. Moreover, Silksong posed significant demands on Android devices, performing optimally when connected to a cooling plate and fan, enabling the game to reach 100 fps.
GameHub offers more than just Silksong, but some other games have faced challenges with the latest version 5.0, as reported by The Verge. Meanwhile, the same team responsible for bringing Hollow Knight to Android is currently working on an unofficial Android adaptation of Hollow Knight: Silksong. They anticipate releasing this port within a month’s time.
Approximately 7% of active Steam users played Silksong when it was launched on September 4, placing it third in popularity behind Helldivers II and Counter-Strike 2. We won’t know until September 15 whether Silksong climbed to the top spot in Steam’s weekly rankings for that week.
