Only three weeks. That’s how much time Assassin’s Creed: Hexe has to win players’ hearts before GTA 6 swallows it whole

Delaying the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 2026 could have a big impact on other games planned for around the same period. For example, there’s speculation that the new Assassin’s Creed game, currently known as Hexe, is slated to come out just a few weeks before Rockstar’s title.

Hexe release in October 2026?

Assassin’s Creed: Hexe was first revealed in 2022, and was originally planned to release after Assassin’s Creed: Red, which is now called Shadows. The game has been in development for a while, but details are still scarce.

A reliable source, JorRaptor, recently suggested that the game Hexe could be released near the end of October next year. This information was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and came after the announcement that GTA 6 has been delayed until November 19, 2026.

A great, so we have 3 weeks to finish Assassin’s Creed Hexe before this.

I was watching a video where someone pointed out something really interesting. Back in 2018, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey came out, and then, just a couple of weeks later, Red Dead Redemption 2 dropped! Apparently, that initially hurt Odyssey’s sales, but ultimately, the game still did really well. It’s crazy how timing can affect things!

JorRaptor believes that releasing the game Hexe around next Halloween would be ideal, and the French development team needs to make sure it’s ready by then.

It’s currently just a rumor, but Ubisoft might delay the release of Hexe until 2027. This is potentially due to plans for a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which reports suggest will be released next year.
