Nintendo Switch 2 Handheld Controllers Get Limited-Time Price Cuts

GameSir is currently offering discounts on two of its mobile controllers at Walmart and Amazon. These controllers work with smartphones, small tablets, and Nintendo Switch consoles – and will also be compatible with the new Nintendo Switch 2 when it releases, offering a more comfortable grip with traditional controls like D-pads, taller sticks, and bigger buttons compared to standard Joy-Cons. The GameSir X5s, a newer, affordable option, is available for $40 at Walmart and $45 on Amazon (originally $50). For those looking for premium features, the GameSir G8 Plus Galileo, which includes customizable back buttons and more, is on sale for $59.89 at Walmart and $72 at Amazon (originally $80).

Walmart is offering the G8 Plus at a special, short-term price as a “flash deal,” while Amazon’s offer is only available for a limited time and has a limited quantity.

Nintendo Switch 2 Ergonomic Grips

If you’re looking to make the Switch 2 more comfortable to hold, a grip attachment is a good option. There are now many different grips available since the Switch 2 launched in June. I particularly like the Dbrand Killswitch, which you can now buy at Best Buy for $80. It includes a screen cover as well. The Killswitch features shaped grips for your fingers, making it more comfortable to hold. You can still use the Switch’s kickstand with the grip on. One downside is that it prevents you from docking the console normally, but it comes with an adapter that lets you connect to the official Nintendo Dock Set – it’s a smart design and works great. The included travel cover also has a slot to hold up to 10 game cartridges.

If you’re looking for a good grip, I recommend the Genki Attack Vector Grip Case. While it might not feel quite as comfortable as the Dbrand Killswitch, it works perfectly with the Switch 2 Dock Set. A nice feature is that it includes three different grip options you can easily switch between to find what feels best for you. It also comes with a travel cover and costs $60 on Amazon. Genki also offers a slimmer, more affordable travel cover grip called the Force Field 2 for $30.

Amazon has a lot of affordable grips for the Switch 2. Many of them look similar to the popular Dbrand Killswitch. You can find options like the BHGift Dockable Grip Case for $20 and the Timovo Dockable Grip Case for $14.87, both of which have the same ridged design. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to the Genki Attack Vector, the Skull & Co. NeoGrip is available for $30.

JSAUX is a well-known brand offering affordable options, with several choices available for under $30. Their Split Protective Case with Travel Cover is currently on sale for $27, down from $30. We’ve created a special Amazon page to help you easily compare this grip with others.
