Suda51 And Swery’s New Game Hotel Barcelona Getting A Collector’s Edition Next Year

This year has seen plenty of original games, but Hotel Barcelona is certainly one of the most unusual. Created by Suda51 and Swery, it’s a 2.5D side-scrolling roguelike that throws players into a hotel overrun with serial killers inspired by classic 1980s slasher films. It’s a fittingly bizarre concept for these creators. The game is available now on PC and consoles for $30, with a physical version for PS5 and Xbox Series X. For dedicated fans, a deluxe Collector’s Edition launches on April 17, 2026, and includes a wealth of collectibles. Preorders are open now at Amazon. While there’s no bonus for preordering, it’s a good idea to reserve your copy quickly, as collector’s editions often sell out fast.

Hotel Barcelona released on September 26th and received a somewhat divided reaction from reviewers. This isn’t unusual for games created by developers Suda51 and Swery, as their titles often gain a dedicated following over time due to their interesting characters and fresh takes on established game types. Some critics found Hotel Barcelona to be challenging, while others praised its atmosphere inspired by slasher films, precise combat, and strange world.
