Would Tia And Tamara Mowry Do A Hallmark Christmas Movie Decades After Starring In Sister, Sister?

Halloween is here, but that means the Christmas season is almost upon us – and that means lots of new and classic Christmas movies are coming soon! Hallmark always delivers a huge lineup of festive films. Fans are wondering if the network might even reunite Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley, the stars of the show Sister, Sister, for a Christmas movie after many years.

Tia and Tamera Mowry became well-known for starring in their sitcom, which aired on ABC and WB from 1994 to 1999. They continued to collaborate on several projects, including the Disney Channel movies Twitches and Twitches Too, their reality show Tia & Tamera on the Style Network, and a recent HomeGoods campaign – their first project together in over a decade. With both sisters having new Christmas-themed projects coming up, Tamera suggested to Us Weekly that they should consider doing a project together again.

I’m a huge fan of both Tamera and Tia! Tamera’s been busy with her Hallmark series, Baked With Love: Holiday, and Tia just did a Netflix movie, My Secret Santa. But honestly, what I really want is to see them work together again! Tia and Tamera both mentioned they’d love to film something in Italy – maybe a romantic comedy where they both find love, whether it’s in Italy, Paris, or somewhere else in Europe. That would be amazing!

It’s unclear if a movie will actually be made, but the actresses seem to have some ideas. Fans would love to see them work together on screen again after so long! While Twitches is a Halloween favorite, Sister, Sister still has a dedicated following. Even though the show ended over 25 years ago, it remains popular today.

Tamera Mowry-Housley has said she’s interested in bringing back Sister, Sister, but she and the team want to do it right. Revivals can be tricky – not every reboot lives up to the original – and they want to make sure any new version is truly great. Even if a full revival doesn’t happen, she’d love to see a reunion special, similar to those done for shows like Friends and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. At the very least, it would be wonderful to see her and her twin sister acting together again.

As a huge movie fan, I always love seeing iconic duos reunite, and Tia and Tamera have definitely conquered Halloween with Twitches, which you can stream on Disney+. It got me thinking – another holiday movie with them would be amazing! Right now, it sounds like they’re both juggling lots of individual projects, but honestly, you never know what could happen. Maybe this time next year we’ll be hearing about a brand new Christmas movie starring them both! Until then, I guess we just have to be patient and see what they come up with.
