If you’re thinking of buying Pokemon Legends: Z-A on the new Nintendo Switch 2, Walmart is currently offering a free bonus gift! They’ve restocked their exclusive mystery enamel pin with purchases of the game. While Best Buy previously offered a desk mat bonus that’s now gone, this pin is free with your purchase. Plus, Walmart is selling Pokemon Legends: Z-A for $69, which is a dollar cheaper than the suggested retail price.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is the newest installment in the Pokémon Legends series. If you missed the first game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus – a critically acclaimed title released in 2022 – you can find a physical copy at Amazon or Walmart for around $53.
Looking for a Pokemon-themed controller for Pokemon Legends: Z-A? Amazon has the officially licensed PowerA Pikachu Vortex Wireless Controller on sale for $30—it’s normally $60! It easily connects to both the original Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 using Bluetooth.
PowerA launched a special Pokemon Mega Evolutions edition of their Advantage Wireless Controller this week. Selling for $70, it’s the first wireless controller from a company other than Nintendo to include the new ‘C’ button for in-game chat. It also boasts improved features like Hall Effect sticks, which prevent drifting.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Key Features
The next Pokémon game after Pokémon Legends: Arceus will bring players to the Kalos region, which was featured in Pokémon X and Y on the 3DS. This new game will be a shift from the open wilderness of Arceus, taking place in and around the busy city of Lumiose City. Players will be able to choose from Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig as their first Pokémon partner. Like in Arceus, you won’t need to battle every wild Pokémon before trying to catch it – the streamlined catching system is returning!
Z-A features a completely new battle system for the series. Instead of the turn-based battles seen in previous games like Arceus, this game uses a more strategic, real-time system. You and your Pokémon can move around during battles, within a limited space, and where you position yourselves and when you act is crucial for both attacking and dodging enemy moves.
A popular feature is back! Mega Evolutions, which haven’t been seen since Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eevee in 2018, let you temporarily transform your Pokémon into a much stronger form. These transformations also change how your Pokémon looks. However, not all Pokémon can Mega Evolve, and you’ll need both a Mega Ring and a specific Mega Stone for each Pokémon to make it happen.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC

During the September Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a new paid expansion for Pokémon Legends: Z-A called Mega Dimension. It’s available for purchase now at a price of $30 and is scheduled to release on February 28, 2026. The expansion’s story revolves around Mega Evolutions, with Raichu taking center stage – it even has two different Mega Evolutions! Along with the new story content, the Mega Dimension DLC includes Raichu-themed clothing items for your character, called Holo-X and Holo-Y, that you can use right away.
