The latest episode of Hazbin Hotel Season 2 might have revealed clues about why Lilith ended up in Heaven. The popular animated series, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, is continuing its story of Hell with a focus on the new arrivals – both saints and sinners – after the big war between Heaven and Hell that happened in Season 1.
In the first two episodes of Season 2, a major surprise emerged: Lilith, the Queen of Hell, was found hiding in Heaven, separated from both her children and those she rules in Hell.

The scene unfolded, showing the woman deliberately avoiding phone calls from her daughter, Charlie, and her husband, Lucifer.
The scene doesn’t explain why Lilith is hiding near the entrance to Heaven, but a text message arrives from Lute, the main villain from Season 2. The message simply reads, “You’re off the hook for now, b.”

People have wondered if this lush location might be the Garden of Eden – a perfect, heavenly place where the Tree of Life is said to grow. But so far, the show hasn’t confirmed this theory.
The episode later showed that the angel Sera is aware Lilith is in Heaven, suggesting she might have played a part in Lilith’s choice to leave her duties in Hell. You can find more details about Sera’s role in Hazbin Hotel Season 2 here.

It’s possible Lilith has a hidden reason for being in Heaven. This might explain why she isn’t responding to her family. She could be trying to make a deal with someone powerful enough to drastically change the underworld, and knowing how that would impact people like Charlie and Lucifer, she’s chosen to keep her location a secret.
The situation might be simpler than it seems. Lilith could just be a flawed mother, neglecting her children and withdrawing to Heaven to avoid the difficulties of her life on Earth.

I’m really excited to share that Season 2 of Hzabin Hotel is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video! New episodes drop every Wednesday, and trust me, you don’t want to miss it. It’s a hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt adult animated series created by Vivienne Medrano (aka Vivziepop). The show follows the wacky adventures of a group of demons running a hotel in Hell, offering sinners a shot at turning their lives around – or at least having some fun trying!
The Big Reason Why Lilith Is In Heaven
There is one reason we have not explored for why Lilith might be in Heaven.
As longtime viewers are aware, the Queen of the Underworld has been missing for seven years – a curiously similar length of time to Alastor’s disappearance. It was later revealed she had been in hiding all along, deliberately ignoring her daughter and letting her husband’s calls go unanswered.
Okay, so it’s not official yet, but everyone’s buzzing about the possibility of Adam showing up again! You know, the original villain from Season 1? Apparently, he wasn’t just some random bad guy – he was a huge deal in Heaven. He used to lead the angelic army, called the Exorcists, and was basically in charge of the yearly clean-up crew that went down to Hell and wiped things out. It’s wild to think about how much power he had!
Although the immediate threat of the Extermination was stopped when Lucifer defeated Adam at the end of Season 1, some fans believe there’s a hidden connection between Lilith and Adam.
In Season 2, Episode 2, Sera hints at a possible agreement between the Queen of the Underworld and the previous leader of the Exorcists. This idea is similar to something Lute mentioned at the end of Season 1, when Lilith’s presence in Heaven was first suggested.
Maybe this agreement is what’s preventing her from entering Heaven. Now that Adam is gone, is she trapped there, fulfilling his lingering wishes?
She might be in Heaven to escape a troubling secret involving Adam. Vivienne Medrano, the show’s creator, hasn’t confirmed whether Lilith and Lucifer are definitely Charlie Morningstar’s parents, remaining intentionally vague when asked.
Is it possible Charlie is the child of both Adam and Lilith? And is the Season 1 villain desperately trying to hide the fact that he might be the father of the princess of Hell, despite publicly advocating for the extermination of imps?
Keeping Charlie’s mother hidden away in the Garden of Eden would be a sensible way to prevent her from sharing such damaging secrets.
