A player of the new Pokémon Legends Z-A game unintentionally let loose one of the rarest Pokémon hidden within it, and it seems many other players are doing the same thing without even knowing it.
A Reddit user named HulloItsCassie shared their frustration on the r/PokemonZA subreddit after accidentally releasing a rare, blue Spewpa. They had earned the Spewpa by finishing the Museum quest and didn’t realize what they’d done until after it was gone, writing, “I thought I released the other one… nope.” They expressed being very upset about the mistake.
So, did everyone know this?

The post quickly became popular online as players realized they might have made a mistake. It turns out, this particular Spewpa is the only one that evolves into the blue Marine Pattern Vivillon. All other Spewpa found in the game evolve into the pink Meadow Pattern Vivillon.
Hidden treasure disguised as an ordinary Spewpa
Many players have mistakenly released the special Spewpa given at the Museum because the game doesn’t clearly explain it’s a one-of-a-kind gift. This often happens when players are trying to organize their storage or finish research for Mable, which asks them to catch several of the same Pokémon.
I was totally shocked when I saw this tweet from pro player CBADgg! Apparently, he accidentally released a super rare Pokémon – a lone Spinda that’s the only way to get a specific Vivillon pattern in the game. It just goes to show you, even the best players make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes are hilariously rare!
You’re telling me I let go of the single Spewpa that’s the only way to get a different Vivillon pattern? Seriously?

A recent discovery has caused a lot of talk within the Legends: Arceus community, with players urging each other to check their Mystery Gift boxes quickly. Right now, the Museum Spewpa is the only way to get the rare blue Marine Pattern Vivillon, making it a Pokémon that’s easy to overlook and miss out on.
