Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, a battle royale game set in the World of Darkness universe, was released by Sharkmob in April 2022. Players took on the roles of vampires in Prague, choosing sides in different groups and fighting each other using both supernatural powers and regular weapons. Although the game received updates in 2023, development has stopped and the servers will be shut down in 2026.
Sharkmob has announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt will permanently shut down on April 28, 2026. After that date, the game will no longer be playable on either PC or PlayStation 5.
Sharkmob thanked the Bloodhunt community for supporting the game over the past four years.
We were thrilled to share the world of Prague with you and hoped you’d create lasting memories there. From rooftop battles to the friendships forged in the game’s energy, Bloodhunt has truly come alive through your experiences. Over the past four years, we’ve been so grateful for your incredible passion and dedication. Unfortunately, despite the support of our amazing community, the number of players has dropped to a point where it’s no longer feasible to keep the servers running. Because of this, we’ve made the tough decision to shut Bloodhunt down.
You can no longer buy tokens, but you’ll still be able to use any tokens you already own in the in-game store until the game shuts down.
The role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was recently released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s been 21 years since the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines game came out.
