We’ve got trouble – a possible enemy from the Earth Directorate is out there, strange rifts are appearing in space, and there are tons of Raptidons that need taking care of. But even with all that going on, we can still make time for a scavenger hunt.
On Paradise Island, players are on the hunt for a special magazine called Scientist Adventure Quarterly. A particular character on the island will trade valuable rewards for it.
Paradise Island is larger than it looks, and finding everything can take a while. To help you out, we’ve created a map showing the location of all the key spots.
Okay, so you can actually find these collectibles in any order you like, but I’m going to list them by the issue number they appeared in. Just a heads up though – that might not be the best way to collect them if you’re playing through the game normally! I wanted to give you a warning about that.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #1
Okay, so I found something that might help others! If you’re near the swampy area just to the right of Westport, check out the house next to Charlton’s – you know, the one during that ‘For Whom the Bridge Tolls’ quest? There’s a magazine lying on one of the beds inside. It might be useful!
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #2
Follow the coastal path beyond Crabble Farm, and you’ll reach a little fishing shack where you’ll find a somewhat eccentric fisherman rambling on about potatoes. The second SAQ is located right outside, sitting on a table in front of the shack.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #3
While you’re visiting the Ministry of Accuracy for the Above and Beyond Repair quest (as requested by Kaur), consider making a quick stop to the north. Right near the entrance, you’ll find another SAQ on a table.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #4
Near the Vox Relay Station fast travel point, there’s an elevator that leads to a restricted area. Take it down, and follow the coastal path until you reach a small fisherman’s shack. You’ll find another SAQ on a table on the dock.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #5
A small farm belonging to the Protectorate is located near the Ministry of Accuracy. When you arrive, you’ll see a Protectorate member being pressured by soldiers from Auntie’s Choice to join their side. Right next to the farmhouse, you’ll find the fifth issue of something sitting on a table.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #6
From Fairfield, use the fast travel point and then follow the road east. You’ll eventually reach a small fisherman’s shack. Go inside, and you’ll find the SAQ item on the bed.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #7
As you approach the north side of Paradise Island, you’ll encounter a farmstead guarded by enemy Protectorate Troopers and their trained Raptidons. You’ll need to defeat them or find a way to sneak past. Once they’re dealt with, go inside the smaller of the two buildings and look for a problem detailed on a desk.

This area is full of crabs, as you’d expect from a place called Crabbing Tower. After you defeat them all and break their shells, you can climb to the top and find another puzzle.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #9
Begin at the Spire Grove fast travel point and go south along the path until you reach the only building nearby. Be prepared to fight some Raptidons, and you’ll need either the Brawny Trait or at least 1 point in Engineering to enter. Once inside, you’ll find the last magazine issue on the bed.
Scientist Adventure Quarterly #10
Finally, just northwest of the farm, near where the Protectorate soldiers are stationed, you’ll find a small fishing shack. It’s currently full of Crabbles and Raptidons fighting each other. Clear them out, and you can find the SAQ you need on a table just outside the shack to finish collecting the set.
Rewards For The SAQ Full Collection
Once you find even a single magazine, you’ll be asked to see Redactor Quenzel, who is offering a good reward for her missing collection of informational pamphlets.
Okay, so I’ve learned that if I turn in one, five, and ten of these things, I’ll get rewards! Here’s what I’m getting for each milestone…
