The show has already broken viewership records on Prime Video, and now it’s officially recognized by Guinness World Records! At MCM Comic Con London, Guinness representatives surprised the cast – including , Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Capone – with two awards: Most In-Demand Action-Adventure TV Show and Most In-Demand Superhero TV Show.
In a video showing the cast receiving certificates, Karl Urban expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped make The Boys such a popular and successful series.
We’re incredibly grateful for this. It truly means a lot to us. We want to thank a few people who made it all happen. First, Garth Ennis, the brilliant creator of The Boys – if you haven’t read his graphic novels, you should! We also want to thank Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and especially Eric Kripke. Eric’s leadership was essential, and we wouldn’t be here without him.
I want to thank Amazon and Sony Pictures for their incredible support of the show. And a huge thank you to our amazing Toronto crew – we couldn’t have done it without them! They truly helped us make the show the best it could be. But most of all, thank you – our fans! We’re so grateful for your support over the past four seasons, and we’re thrilled to be coming back for a fifth. We can’t wait to share what we’ve created for Season 5, and your enthusiasm means everything to us. Thank you so much.
‘The Boys’ Is Heading for an Insane Conclusion
The latest season of The Boys has faced criticism for more directly referencing the current U.S. presidential administration – though the show has always been politically satirical, some viewers seem to be noticing it more now. This adds to the usual challenges of wrapping up a series, and showrunner Erik Kripke is aware of the added pressure. He previously explained:
I get really anxious about series finales. Truly great ones are rare – you can probably count them on one or two hands. I actually think The Shield did a fantastic job with its finale. But there are so many terrible endings out there. A show can be amazing for years, but a bad finale can ruin everyone’s impression of it. It makes people rethink whether the whole series was actually good.
Kripke and the cast have promised that the next season of The Boys will be the wildest one yet. As the show heads towards its final season, anything can happen, and no one is safe. It’s expected to return to Prime Video in early 2026.
