The upcoming series, scheduled to air soon according to the 2025 television lineup, is inspired by Eli Manning’s character developed for an ESPN+ sketch titled Eli’s Places. It’s been revealed that the creators of Chad Powers find it crucial to have NFL star Eli Manning heavily involved in the project.
In his role as executive producer for the series “Chad Powers“, Manning also attempted to offer some football guidance to Powell. Despite initially being unimpressed by his initial throw, Manning had many positive comments about the show, a fact that may not be surprising given his involvement. The series premieres on September 30 with a Hulu subscription, and as co-creator Michael Waldron told EW, it features a character based on Manning himself.

We believe we achieved this in an entertaining manner, and there are a few other instances where we think we managed to make it enjoyable too.

He made me feel more confident, since I would often think, “Wow, even Eli Manning approves of this!” Knowing we were pleasing Eli gave me a great sense of satisfaction. On one occasion, he even joined our writers’ room and answered all our questions about what a typical Tuesday looks like for a college quarterback.
