How to Solve the Bell Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
The shotgun is by far the most effective weapon in Tormented Souls 2. Its strong shots can quickly defeat most enemies, often in just one or two hits.
Players might completely overlook the shotgun, as it’s located in a hidden, optional area and requires solving a tricky puzzle to obtain.
As a big fan of feeling really strong in games, I was so excited to find out about the shotgun in Tormented Souls 2! If you’re like me and want to add some serious firepower to your arsenal, you’ll definitely want to know where to get it. I’ve figured out where it is and how to unlock it – you need to solve the bell puzzle. Let me tell you how!
How to Get the Shotgun in Tormented Souls 2
To get the shotgun in Tormented Souls 2, you’ll need to find the hammer first. It’s located in the basement of the Convent.
Down in the basement crematorium, you’ll discover a hammer lodged in the skull of a deceased nun. If you’re having trouble finding the crematorium, refer to the image below for help.
As a reminder, the Crematorium is the room where the old man asks you to find a book for him.
Now that you have the hammer, you can go to the shotgun. Head to the Bell Tower and climb the stairs to the very top.
As you climb the stairs, you’ll find two glass vases in your way. Use your hammer to break them, which will clear a path and let you continue up to the top of the Bell Tower.
After climbing to the top of the Bell Tower, use the ladder to go to the next room. There, you’ll find the shotgun inside a glass case. To get the shotgun, you need to solve the bell puzzle to unlock the case.
How to Solve the Bell Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
The glass protecting the shotgun is incredibly strong, so simply breaking it with a hammer or another shot won’t do the trick. Instead, we have to ring the bells in a specific sequence to produce a sound that will shatter the glass.
The images below show how to solve the bell puzzle. To ring the bells, equip your hammer and then swing to hit them.
The correct order to ring the bells is North, West, East, and then South. If you ring a bell by mistake, don’t worry! Just wait for the sound to stop and you can start the puzzle over.
Once the final bell rings, the glass will break, and you’ll be able to pick up the shotgun. As you head down the Bell Tower, the game will introduce a few enemies, giving you a chance to try out the shotgun’s strength.
It’s a good idea to add the shotgun to your quick access bar for fast switching. Just remember, the shotgun needs to be reloaded after every shot, so be ready to do that immediately after firing.
