Seed Lab has announced details about the crossover event for Starsand Island. Ginger and Gust, popular characters from My Time at Portia, will be appearing as residents you can interact with in the game.
The Chinese indie studio is collaborating with Pathea Games, another Chinese studio, to add guest characters to their games, which are similar in style. Both teams have released trailers for this crossover on their YouTube channels.
Just so you know, the actors who originally voiced Ginger and Gust are back for this new game! While *My Time at Portia* only offered English and Chinese voice acting, *Starsand Island* will also include a Japanese audio option. The trailer for Seed Lab’s Japanese release confirms that Ginger and Gust will have new voiceovers in Japanese.
Watch the English trailers below! Starsand Island will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on February 1, 2026. The PC version will be available on Steam in early 2026. You can also try a demo during the Steam Next Fest in October 2025, available until October 21st.
