A TikTok user who playfully mentioned following MrBeast hoping for a prize is now receiving $10,000 from the popular YouTuber.
Earlier this month, a TikTok user named jiafeis_left_puthylipfan shared a video explaining she follows MrBeast “just in case” someone asks, hoping to win a prize. The video quickly became popular, racking up over 33 million views in just six days.
People flooded the comments, tagging MrBeast to see if he’d recognize her clever joke and offer a reward. Many others thought it was a brilliant idea and started following him as a result.
“Wait brb imma do this,” one user commented.
Another said: “Just followed Mr beast just in case.”
MrBeast’s $10,000 response
On October 13th, Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, responded to a TikTok video with one of his own, filmed right before getting on a plane. He said he’d just seen the video while scrolling through TikTok and immediately sent the creator $10,000 via direct message.
Donaldson is famous for his incredibly generous giveaways, like money, cars, and homes, which he usually shares through platforms like YouTube and social media contests.
His daring challenges sometimes cause negative reactions online. For example, a video from September showed a man locked in a burning room for 25 minutes as part of a challenge for $500,000. Many viewers expressed concern and criticized the stunt as cruel.
Donaldson assured everyone that safety is his top priority, stating he cares about it deeply. He also explained they had emergency staff ready to respond if needed.
