Batman: New DC Movies Announced, Trailer for TV Show Revealed

I was so excited at New York Comic Con! They announced some new Batman movies are coming, and they even showed off the trailer for a movie focusing on the whole Bat-Family! It looks amazing, I can’t wait!

A new animated series called Bat-Fam will be available to stream on Prime Video starting November 10, 2025. It’s a spin-off of the movie *Merry Little Batman* and features the voices of Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, James Cromwell, and other talented actors.

Batman’s household is getting a little crowded! Along with Alfred and his son, Damian (aka Little Batman), they’re welcoming some new faces to Wayne Manor. Joining them for dinner are Alfred’s adventurous grandniece, Alicia; a former villain trying to go straight, Claire; Damian’s grandfather, Ra’s al Ghul (who also happens to be Batman’s enemy); and even Man-Bat, who’s taken up residence in the manor’s bell tower. And, of course, there’s Selina, the family cat! This unusual group tries to balance everyday life with the challenges of protecting Gotham City, promising plenty of action, heartwarming moments, and hilarious mishaps.

What Batman movies were announced?

According to Variety, Warner Bros. Animation revealed at New York Comic Con that they’re creating an animated movie adaptation of the Batman: Knightfall storyline. The first installment is anticipated to come out sometime next year.

The story begins when Bane releases all of Batman’s enemies from Arkham Asylum, driving the hero to his absolute limit, both mentally and physically.

Jeff Wamester directed ‘Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall,’ with a script by Jeremy Adams. Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau produced the film, with Rick Morales as supervising producer, and Sam Register and Michael Uslan serving as executive producers.

This is the first time DC’s famous Knightfall story has been made into a movie, though parts of it inspired Christopher Nolan’s *The Dark Knight Rises*.
