Yooka-Laylee is a fantastic game, and it’s packed with collectibles! If you’re a completionist, be prepared to find over 1,000 items throughout the game.
There aren’t many pirate treasures to find – just five. You’ll discover one on each of the game’s main levels.
Although there are only five of these treasures to find, they might be the most challenging collectibles in the game. If you’re having trouble finding them all, don’t worry – I can help!
Collecting all five treasure pieces unlocks the Skele Tour Trophy/Achievement. If you’re aiming for the Platinum Trophy (or the equivalent on your gaming system), keep reading for more details.
All the valuable items in the game are golden skulls, meaning you’re constantly searching for the same object throughout each level.
#1 – Tribalstack Tropics

Let’s start with Tribalstack Tropics, the first major area of the game. Follow the arrow on the map to reach the back of the tall building – you’ll find a tunnel underneath it.

If you look up, you’ll see some fragile crates stacked on the side of the building. You can get to them by jumping on the bushes to the left, then using a charged jump and a little gliding. Once you’re there, break open the crates with a spin attack.

Behind the crates is your first pirate treasure!
#2 – Glitterglaze Glacier

The pirate treasure hidden in Glitterglaze Glacier should be the easiest one for you to find on your own. Follow the arrow on your map – it will guide you up the icy paths to a large tower, which also serves as the entrance to the Icymetric Palace.

If you’re looking at the palace entrance, you’ll find a ledge partway down the left side of the pillar – and that’s where your second pirate treasure is hidden.

You have two options for reaching the treasure: you can carefully jump or glide down from the tower, or use the cloud box near the palace entrance to fly down safely.
#3 – Moodymaze Marsh

Now, you’ll encounter Moodymaze Marsh, a typical poisonous swamp often found in games like Banjo-Kazooie and many Soulslike titles. Follow the arrow on the map; it will guide you to a climbable structure. You can reach the top with a few well-timed superjumps.

At the top of the highest smokestack on top of this building is pirate treasure number three.
You can knock down smaller smokestacks to create updrafts, which will help you glide and make getting around a little simpler.
#4 – Capital Cashino

Finding the pirate treasure at Capital Cashino requires an extra step: you’ll need to unlock the helicopter first. Find the slot machine near Dr. Puzz and get three Yooka-Laylee symbols in a row to win a Mollycool, which will allow you to transform. Then, fly your helicopter to the arrow shown on the map.

The fourth pirate treasure is located right behind the large dice sculpture. Fly the helicopter around to the back of the statue to claim it.
#5 – Galleon Galaxy
Finally, the treasure in Galleon Galaxy requires an extra step to get. Go to the location marked on the map to find a cloud box hidden inside one of the portable toilets.

After you launch, simply fly up to the large purple sphere nearby. Refer to the map if you need help finding your way.

The treasure is located on top of the purple orb – it’s all yours! Celebrate your win, and then get back to collecting everything else!
