Kwik Trip is selling Mountain Dew donuts and fans are already hunting them down

Okay, so Kwik Trip just dropped a new donut and it’s…Mountain Dew flavored?! Seriously! It tastes just like the soda, and it’s only around for a limited time, so I’m definitely grabbing one (or five) before they’re gone. It’s a pretty wild combo, but honestly, I’m here for it.

The convenience store recently started selling Mountain Dew-flavored Dunkin’ Donuts through its Kwikery Bake Shop. You can find them in boxes of six at select stores.

These new, bright green donuts first appeared online when the snack account CandyHunting posted photos of them. CandyHunting described the donuts as tasting like Mountain Dew, with a refreshing citrus flavor – a mix of lemon, lime, and orange.

“The donuts actually do a pretty good job capturing the flavor of Mountain Dew,” they said.

Kwik Trip launches new Mountain Dew donuts

Kwik Trip hinted at a new treat on Instagram, posting a video of their staff trying out a secret Dunker donut flavor. Throughout the video, they playfully kept the flavor under wraps, but revealed it wasn’t pink lemonade.

We hinted at a new donut flavor and asked people to guess, but they quickly discovered it was already available in stores!

This new release joins a surprising trend of food products flavored like soda, as companies keep finding creative ways to use popular drink tastes in everything from snacks to desserts and baked goods.

Earlier this year, Taco Bell and Mountain Dew partnered for a special promotion. Fans could win unique Mountain Dew Baja Blast-themed eye patches, which were one of many collectible items released through the two brands’ ongoing collaboration.
