$140 Dune Sandworm Lego set leaked and it’s massive

Lego is releasing a new Dune set, and it’s a massive Sandworm – sure to thrill (and maybe scare!) fans of the series.

Whether you’re a fan of the Dune book series, the films, or the game, the franchise has tons of collectables for you to show off. We already have the iconic Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter as a 1,369-piece Lego set, complete with a ton of minifigures from the adventure, so you’re able to show off some of the most memorable aspects of the movies.

Beyond the blue eyes, spice, and flying vehicles, the Sandworm is perhaps the most recognizable element of Dune. This frightening creature is responsible for the deaths of many characters and has become a symbol of the entire series.

You can now create your own, and it’s designed to be stable – it won’t be damaged by sounds or shaking, unless it accidentally falls. But if that happens, it’s not a flaw with the device itself!

$140 Lego Dune Sandworm leaked

Okay, so BrickTapNews dropped some news on X – it looks like we’re getting another official Lego Dune set! And that’s not all – they also teased a new Pokemon set, a Lord of the Rings Oliphaunt (yes!), and… Buddy the Elf? Seriously? I’m excited about Dune and the Oliphaunt, but Buddy the Elf is a bit of a surprise!

Unfortunately, the final design for the Sandworm is yet to be released, and we don’t yet know whether we’ll get a minifigure of someone riding on top of the monster.

We expect the new Dune set to have 1,837 pieces, making it the largest one released so far. It’s anticipated to cost about $140 and will be available starting January 1, 2027, shortly after the premiere of Dune 3.

So, we have a while to wait until this can actually take pride of place on our shelves, but it’s likely more information will be revealed soon, including an official design, whether that’s through leaks or Lego themselves.
