Pilot who won private jet in MrBeast video arrested after $3.6 million drug bust

The pilot who recently won a private jet through a MrBeast competition was arrested in Paraguay. Authorities discovered over 260 kilograms of marijuana on the plane he was flying, which had arrived from Miami.

Jabari Stephan Brown, who goes by Captain Treezy online, was arrested in Asunción, Paraguay on May 31st. The arrest followed a drug discovery on a private plane at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport.

MrBeast challenge winner caught up in Paraguay investigation

The Associated Press reports that Brown was one of four Americans held after police found over 576 pounds of potent marijuana on a private plane that landed after flying from Miami.

People first learned about Brown when he competed in MrBeast’s ‘100 Pilots Fight For A Private Jet’ challenge. He won a Hawker 400XP executive jet by being the last pilot standing out of 100 competitors.

Officials haven’t confirmed if the plane found in Paraguay is the same one that Jack Brown won during the MrBeast competition.

Brown won a private jet after competing against 99 other pilots in a MrBeast video.

According to the Associated Press, Paraguayan authorities arrested a man named Brown at a hotel in Asunción. The arrest happened one day after officials seized a marijuana shipment that had been flown in on a private plane from Miami.

According to ABC Color, Brown was the aircraft’s co-pilot. The news source also stated that prosecutors have charged three other Americans related to this operation, and are still investigating Brown’s involvement.

According to MercoPress, the discovery happened while luggage was being taken off a plane and moved to a car. Officials believe the shipment was worth approximately $3.6 million.

In addition to the initial detainee, authorities also held three other Americans: Marisol Rivas, Troy Anthony Vásquez, and David Thomas Wise.
