Next-gen update for KCD
Two days ago, Reddit user bertik11 shared that they believe Kingdom Come: Deliverance (KCD 1) will receive an update next year, essentially a next-generation version. They anticipate the release will be sometime between January and April. However, no specific information about what the update will include has been released yet.
Just so you know, the user explained that the rumors about Warhorse Studios making a game set in the Lord of the Rings world aren’t true. It seems the Czech studio is actually creating its own fantasy game instead.
Bertik11 states that a source has fully confirmed his information. However, because he hasn’t revealed who this source is, many are understandably questioning his claims. It’s not surprising that people are skeptical without knowing where the information comes from.
He noted that he had already shared information about the KCD 2 delay before it occurred, which is accurate. He also mentioned in a post last year that Warhorse would create a booth resembling a medieval village at gamescom 2024-and they did, though it wasn’t a full village, there was an area in Cologne that captured the game’s atmosphere. Therefore, his past leaks proved to be correct, even though there weren’t a large number of them.

Warhorse Studios has previously suggested that an update for next-generation consoles could be coming. In July, someone asked on X if Kingdom Come: Deliverance (KCD 1) would be released for PS5, and the developers responded with an eye emoji – potentially indicating they are working on it.
