The recent price increase for Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft sparked a lot of discussion, despite the addition of several new games, primarily from Ubisoft. However, there’s more news: on October 15th, four games will be removed from the subscription service. Adding to that, one of these games will become available on PlayStation Plus on October 7th.
Games leaving Xbox and PC Game Pass on October 15
- Cocoon;
- Core Keeper;
- Donut County;
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed.
Many players will likely be most disappointed to see Cocoon go. Geometric Interactive’s game is a puzzle adventure that has you traveling between small worlds contained within spheres, and you’ll use each world’s special qualities to solve harder and harder puzzles. This game is being added to the PlayStation Plus Essential subscription library this month.
Core Keeper is an action RPG with roguelike elements, challenging you to explore risky dungeons and fight many enemies. Donut County is similar to the Katamari series; you play as a hole that consumes everything in its path. Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed is an action game played from a third-person perspective, and it’s based on the animated movie of the same title.
